During my recent stay at the Three Salmons Hotel in Usk, I had the opportunity to experience their culinary offerings, which truly showcased local flavors. The relaxed dining experience in their restaurant allowed for a perfect retreat after a long day. I savored the two-course lunch, where locally sourced ingredients were expertly prepared. The truffled honey lamb rump stood out, its melt-in-the-mouth texture a testament to the quality of the meat. Breakfast was equally impressive. The full Welsh breakfast was substantial, providing just the fuel needed for a day of exploration. Their extensive wine cellar featured selections from around the world, catering to various tastes. While the characterful rooms were slightly dated, the charm of this boutique hotel, along with the warm, helpful staff, truly made my stay memorable. If you're a food enthusiast, I can recommend stopping by for a taste of their innovative menu.
